Harling AC enjoyed a coach trip to the Venice of England on Saturday, 25 February, to watch the Athletics World Indoor Tour Final at Utilitarian Arena, Birmingham.
A big group of junior and senior athletes and families enjoyed an afternoon of quick fire indoor athletics action. With a variety of races around the 200m track and the 60m inner straight, mixed with pole vault, high jump and long jump there was barely time to take breath between the action. We were honoured to witness three British National Records, set by Dina Asher-Smith (60m), Keely Hodgkinson (800m), and Neil Gourley (1500m).
It was great to see Kevin Santos (in lane 5, picture below) with a great run in the 60m Para Men race, after starting his Athletics journey with Harling AC back in 2017.
There was much talk on the coach amongst the enthusiastic voyagers as to where our next trip should be...

Sunday 26th February 2023.
We joined in on the national fundraising initiative for a food bank run from East Harling to Kenninghall Village Hall with all donations going towards the Kenninghall Pantry and Harling AC are very proud to be participants.
We were very pleased to be able hand over donations of £434 to this worthy cause. So thank you for your contributions and to the runners who took part.
The Pantry facilitator said: "This will make a real difference".
The purpose of the national initiative is that February is the toughest month for foodbanks and we will be doing our bit to help others less fortunate at their most critical time.
