This year's Harling AC Festive Challenge is about to begin!


See how far you can run over the 12 days of Christmas

25th December 22 to 5th January 2023


Prizes:

  • Medals for everyone who logs 12km's or over (an average of just 1km per day)

  • Trophy for the greatest distance logged by a Junior

  • Trophy for the greatest distance logged by a Senior

  • Trophy for the best "Strava Art" created by your run route


How to Enter:

  1. Go for a run (each day, or many as you can manage over the 12 days)

  2. Record your run. Use a running watch or mobile phone app. (Or you use a map, like the olden days!)

  3. Enter each run on the form on the closed Facebook group or sent by email

    1. Enter run date and distance

    2. Upload proof of your run

    3. Upload any Strava Art from your run route (festive or creative)

Results

It was a hot evening on Friday, 17th June, but plenty of runners turned up at Hethel for the second Running Evening around the Lotus Test Track. Well done to all who took part under the gruelling hot sun.

Date: Friday, 17 June 2022

Location: Hethel, near Wymondham, NR14 8EZ

Harling AC, together with Breckland Chasers, are proud to announce the second Running Evening on

the Lotus Test Track at Hethel, near Wymondham on Friday, 17 June 2022.

There will be a range of races for different ages and abilities on the level, flat and traffic free tarmac

at the Lotus headquarters and the evening will finish with food and refreshments.


Race Timetable:

18:30 – 2.5k Junior Race

19:00 – 10k Senior Race

19:05 – 5k Team Race

Food & refreshments will be served from the end of the junior race

All races will take place around a 2.5km course around the FIA standard test track, steering pad and pit lane.


Junior Race 1 lap, 2.5km.

Runners must be between 9 to 15 years on the day of the race. Prizes: Medals for all finishers. Trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd boy and girl in under 11, under 13 & under 15 age groups.


10k Senior Race 4 laps.

Minimum age 15 years. Prizes: Medals for all finishers. Trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd male and female and 1st, 2nd & 3rd age graded male and female.


5k Team Race 2 laps. This race is a little bit different!

Teams must consist of between 3 & 5 runners, with a minimum age of 13 years. The emphasis is on TEAM. The position of each team will be determined by when their THIRD runner crosses the finish line. Prizes: Medals for all finishers. Trophies for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd teams.

Due to many athletes being away on holiday over the next few weeks, we have decided to cancel training for the next two weekends.

There will be no training from Saturday 9th April until Monday 18th April inclusive.

We hope you all have a fantastic Easter and ready to burn off the chocolate Easter eggs on Saturday 23rd April!
